REST IN THRASH (2000-2009)

Destruct-a-thon are next, saying their goodbyes and farewells, after fighting the good fight for a good many years. Duncan's eyes pop out of his head and roll around on the floor a couple of times, and Michele Morgan plays guitar like she was born with it in her hands. Two other axe slingers, Patti and Ed, provide some sonic back-up, and Eric and Sean hold down the fort on drums and bass so Duncan can crowd surf and kiss the ceiling fans. Don't try this at home, these people are certified motherfuckers and we're gonna miss 'em. Farewell, Destruct-a-thon, we hardly knew ye.

REVIEW OF ALOHA JIHAD!

Destruct-a-thon "Aloha Jihad" Review from www. got-a-nerve. de

12/27/2008 | Bush's administration didn't do anything good but giving ample chances to musicians (or artists more generally) to rant against it with every inch of anger and loud as hell music human's hear got to bear. Bostonian Mr.Duncan Wilder Johnson is back with a new EP recorded with his band DESTRUCT-A-THON (completed by Michele Morgan on guitars, Sean Linehan on bass and Eric O'Brien behind the drum-kit), and he didn't spare himself (how could he?) to scream out loud what his thoughts on Texan cowboy are. The 2 new tracks (the Ep includes also a cover from Long Island based Bravado "Heart Attack", 17 seconds of voice-mail nonsense by Jet's Sam Black Church and a radio edit version of the opening "Aloha Jihad") are a scorching slab of in your face punk thrash metal. The second track "Consume with incisor" offers a few bars where guitarist Michele sings with a warm voice in a 90's alternative style that contrasts much with the evilish punk throaty voice of Duncan. There's only one little flaw with this EP. It's way too short and I get to the end wanting for more. Hope the guys make enough bucks out of this to hit the studio again and release a longer effort. I really need some more dudes.
